About this course

This course introduces the main parts of using a digital device, including hardware, software, operating systems and applications. Participants practise creating, editing, naming and saving files, as well as producing basic documents in Word and Excel. The course also covers identifying and resolving straightforward technical problems and managing information on a device. Learning is supported through practical tasks, tutor feedback, self-assessment and peer discussion.
