Essential Digital Skills - Level 1

About this course

The course develops digital skills across device use, information management, document and digital media creation, numerical data, communication and online services. It also addresses secure online buying, privacy, data protection, responsible online behaviour and digital wellbeing. Learning is assessed through exams, with tutor feedback provided during the course. The programme forms part of the Essential Digital Skills qualification pathway.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners who have completed the Essential Digital Skills qualification at Entry Level or have equivalent experience. Although labelled Beginner, it follows Entry Level study rather than serving as a complete-beginner introduction. Learners should also be prepared to complete exams.

• Learners without Entry Level study can attend an Exploring Digital Skills session or arrange a one-to-one assessment.
• The course includes formal exams as part of its assessment.
