This course introduces the core functions of Microsoft Excel and how the software can be used to store, organise and present data. It focuses on foundational skills relevant to workplace tasks and everyday activities. The course forms part of a non-accredited Essential Digital Skills offer, which also includes progression courses at intermediate and professional-user levels.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for learners with very little or no experience of Microsoft Excel. Its Beginner level indicates an introductory starting point rather than a stated requirement for previous study. Learners who are new to digital skills are advised to complete the Essential Digital Skills Programme first to build a foundation in using digital devices and related software.
