About this course
The course examines the main stages of organising a photography exhibition, including approaching galleries, building press and mailing-list contacts, setting a budget and timetable, and planning the design and hanging of the show. It also considers exhibition text, professional expectations, possible pitfalls, the private view and what follows. Teaching uses informal discussion and visual displays, with participants encouraged to bring a potential exhibition project. Google Classroom supports sharing comments, course materials, images and group critiques.

The course is intended for photographers at improver level who have developed a body of work ready for exhibition. Participants are expected to visit photographic exhibitions regularly and take part in group discussion and critiques.
