About this course

Participants develop a series of related prints using monoprint, relief techniques such as linocut and woodcut, and drypoint. Those with previous screen-printing experience may focus on screen printing onto paper or fabric. The course emphasises repeated testing, reflection and adjustment, with layering, colour and variation used to move towards more considered results. Printmaking can also be combined with drawing, collage and painting. Group discussions and critiques provide opportunities to examine decisions, edit work and refine processes.
