About this course
The course introduces drawing, painting and a range of two-dimensional processes, including collage, mixed media, pastel mark-making, photography, monoprint, stencilling and texture. Learners will investigate subjects and themes, study techniques used by other artists, and make their own visual responses. Teaching combines tutor demonstrations, structured creative exercises, group discussion and one-to-one support. Reflection on personal work and progress forms part of the learning process, alongside developing and recording individual ideas.
