Exploring Photography: making intentional photographs (all levels)

About this course

The course explores how photographers can make images with a clear intention, considering what they want viewers to notice or understand. Participants examine how composition, light, timing and viewpoint can direct attention within a photograph. Work also covers editing and sequencing. Participants reduce a larger group of images to a coherent selection, then develop a connected six-to-eight-image mini-series based on one idea, routine or experience. They consider how choices made during selection and editing can strengthen meaning across a set.
