A family French course for parents and children aged 11+ who have basic knowledge of French or have completed a beginner course.
What Beginner (A1) French means
At A1 French, learners are beginning to use familiar words and simple sentences in predictable everyday situations.

These are general examples of language use at this level, not a description of any individual course syllabus.
About this course
This course extends beginner-level French through additional simple vocabulary and phrases. It is taught as a Family Learning class, with parents learning alongside their children and receiving tutor support. The language covered is intended for use in everyday contexts such as holidays and school. Progress is assessed by the tutor.

Is this course right for you?
The course is designed for parents learning with children aged 11 or over. It is intended for learners with some basic French knowledge, including those who have completed a beginner course, rather than complete beginners. Parents must remain with their children throughout the Family Learning sessions.
- Family participation is required
- A maximum of two children may attend with each adult
