Fashion Design Basics LCF for 11 to 15 Year Olds Short Course

About this course

Participants explore the fashion design process from initial research and concepts through to visual presentation. They develop ideas using sketching, moodboards, silhouettes, fabric, colour and texture, then investigate garment design through templates and basic draping techniques. The course combines drawing, designing and making in a studio environment. Learners consider how designers plan collections and communicate ideas visually, culminating in a mini fashion portfolio.
