About this course

Learners develop a garment from their own measurements, beginning with a bespoke pattern and progressing through fit refinement and construction. The course covers grainlines, seam allowances, shaping, finishing methods and the assembly of a toile before work on final fabric. Teaching combines expert tuition with increasingly independent work on personalised garment projects, including opportunities to use industrial sewing machines.

Before you go

• Calico for garment construction is provided.
• Learners need to supply their own final fabric if they want to remake the garment beyond the course.
