About this course

This course develops spoken Arabic through interactive classroom work, including group discussions, role-plays and practical exercises. Topics include food and dining, past events, travel, holidays, weather and quantities. Learners practise forming past-tense questions and statements, using plural and dual forms, handling numbers from 11 to 100, and connecting ideas into longer conversations. The course also extends written Arabic through short texts such as emails and messages. Lessons use units 12 to 15 of the suggested coursebook, alongside lesson notes, summaries and additional study resources.

Is this course right for you?

The course is aimed at learners who have already started studying Arabic, with completion of Arabic Levels 1 and 2 or at least 24 class hours recommended. Its twice-weekly format suits learners able to attend more frequently, while classroom participation and self-study contribute to progression.
