Figurative Life Sculpture – Intermediate/ Advanced

About this course

Working from a life model, participants will study figure and portraiture, measuring human proportions and responding to observed forms in clay. Sessions explore expressive and experimental modelling approaches, including the development of varied surface textures. The course combines practical studio work with personalised tutor feedback and a Personal Learning Plan. Participants will plan and develop finished clay sculptures, document their practice through written notes, and discuss progress regularly. The course also covers colouring or glazing completed fired work.
