Floristry Summer School

A beginner-level floristry course covering fresh-flower care, design principles, arrangement construction and basic floristry health and safety.
About this course
The course introduces learners to identifying and caring for flowers and foliage, then applies basic design principles to traditional and contemporary arrangements. Projects include linear arrangements, table centrepieces and asymmetrical designs, alongside colour wheels and mood boards. Learners also explore costing and staging designs with accessories. Teaching combines tutor demonstrations, classroom discussion and substantial time making arrangements. Practical work is observed, while learners record their ideas through sketches and a written account before reviewing their progress with the tutor.
