Flower Arranging for Beginners

About this course

The course introduces the foundations of flower arranging using both traditional and contemporary approaches. Participants learn to identify flowers and foliage, handle and condition fresh materials, and apply basic design principles. Teaching combines tutor demonstrations with guided making, classroom discussion and observation of practical work. Techniques include linea design, table centres, free-standing arrangements and leaf manipulation. Learners receive evaluation and feedback on their designs, with notes or handouts provided where applicable.

Before you go

• Flowers are provided for each session.
• Scissors, a floral knife, wires and mechanics are provided for use in class.
