Flying Trapeze Level 1

About this course

The course introduces flying trapeze from the basics. Participants learn to jump from a platform onto the trapeze bar, generate backward and forward swing with their legs, and perform movements while holding the bar. Sessions use a petit volant setup, with most participants wearing a harness belt for safety when working at height.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended as a starting point for people with no or limited circus experience. It involves active participation on specialist aerial equipment and requires learners to be strong and confident enough to support their own body weight for at least 20 seconds. Learners may progress to Level 2 when their teachers consider them ready.

Before you go

• Wear comfortable clothing such as leggings or tracksuit bottoms with a T-shirt or vest.
• Clean indoor trainers are requested.
• For aerial work, clothing covering the limbs, such as long sleeves and leggings, is advised.
