Footwear Design Short Course

About this course

The course introduces the design process for different footwear styles, including sneakers. Participants investigate how shape and function influence a design, then develop ideas through drawing, research and presentation exercises. Technical workshops cover drawing and presentation, while a project brings together research and design development and introduces relevant footwear terminology. The course also explores ways to apply colour and texture using traditional skills. It focuses on footwear design and does not include footwear construction.
