Improver

An improver workshop teaching foundation paper piecing through two sample blocks, with guidance on achieving accuracy when working with challenging fabrics.

About this course

The workshop introduces foundation paper piecing through the Concentric Square and Tile Variation patterns. Participants will make a sample of each block while examining how the method can produce crisp, precise patchwork with fabrics such as silk or linen. Teaching focuses on the fundamentals of the technique and on handling fabric and shape with greater accuracy. The completed blocks can be considered as starting points for a quilt or mounted textile artwork.
