About this course
The workshop examines how freelance journalists and bloggers can find, develop and tailor ideas for different markets, including print, websites and social media. It covers research, interviewing, identifying publications and pitching to editors, with attention to what happens when an idea is commissioned. Participants draft article material, study published articles to examine how they work, and apply basic editing principles. The course uses workshop-style feedback, with learners sharing their material for responses from the tutor and other participants.
