About this course

The course develops elementary French through spoken and listening activities centred on work, life events, habits, shopping, weather and personal interests. Learners revise the present tense, study the passé composé and begin using the imperfect, alongside interrogatives, the imperative, time markers and selected verbs. Vocabulary includes jobs, skills, clothing, colours, body parts, seasons and months. Teaching also introduces French NGOs and cultural clichés. Classroom activities are supported by listening practice, vocabulary-retention techniques and guidance on participating in group conversations more independently. Learning resources are provided through Google Classroom.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners at Elementary (A2) level who have recently studied French for about a year or have equivalent knowledge. It follows a slower pace than standard courses. Participants are expected to manage short real-life conversations, ask and answer questions about habits, and talk about something they have done recently.
