At A2 French, learners can handle simple routine exchanges and describe familiar aspects of everyday life.

About this course
The course extends French language skills through topics including types of housing, rooms, feelings, historical events and social change. Learners work with comparatives and superlatives, location prepositions, the imperfect tense, and markers for past and present time. Teaching centres on spoken communication, with pair and group work, role plays, games, presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. Cultural content includes student accommodation in France and French laws that have influenced everyday life.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for elementary French learners at approximately A2 level who have completed French 2 Lower: Module 2 or have an equivalent level. Participants should be comfortable discussing outings, holidays, food habits, lifestyle and event planning. Lessons involve spoken interaction, pair and group activities, role plays and games.
- Previous study or an equivalent level is expected
- Regular spoken participation is part of the teaching format
- Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning

- A textbook and exercise book based on units 1 to 3 of Entre Nous 2 are used. Learners are advised to wait until after the first session before purchasing them.
