About this course
Learners develop French through topics including lifestyle, health, customs and traditions, and the environment. Language work covers giving advice, the present conditional, adjective position, demonstrative and relative pronouns, expressing purpose with “pour”, and polite conversational expressions. Teaching uses varied activities to build speaking and listening skills, including spoken-language practice, group communication guidance and vocabulary-retention exercises. The course also explores alternative lifestyles and differences across the French-speaking world, with learning resources hosted on Google Classroom.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for learners beyond the earliest stages of French, at Pre-intermediate (A2+) level. It is designed for those who have recently completed two years of French and French 2 upper: module 1, or who have equivalent knowledge. Learners should already be able to talk about their lives, lifestyles and the future, and take part in group speaking and listening activities.

- Learning outcomes may vary according to the group’s overall progress.

- The course uses units 5–6 of the Entre Nous 2 textbook and exercise book. The provider suggests waiting until after the first class before buying the books.
