What Pre-intermediate (A2+) French means

At A2+ French, learners can connect simple sentences, give reasons and manage a wider range of familiar situations.

About this course

The course develops listening comprehension through recordings, videos, dialogues and exercises based on everyday situations. Participants practise identifying the main points of spoken French and examine sounds, pronunciation and intonation to improve recognition of native speech. Teaching centres on spoken interaction and communication, using pair work, group work, role plays, games, presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. The emphasis is on listening skills rather than grammar or vocabulary, with homework recommended to consolidate learning.
