About this course
The course develops more accurate use of two French past tenses: the passé composé and the imparfait. Learners examine their conjugation and uses, then practise distinguishing between them when discussing past events. Teaching centres on communication and interactive activities, including pair work, group work, role plays and games. Presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources are also used to support classroom learning.

The course is intended for learners at an upper Level 2 standard, described as Pre-intermediate (A2+). It is designed for people who have studied French recently for around three years or have equivalent language knowledge. Participation involves spoken communication and interactive pair and group activities.
