About this course
The course focuses on speaking strategies for communicating more fluently in French, including responding to other speakers, staying in French and managing spontaneous conversation without written support. It examines the differences between spoken and written language, communication skills and grammar knowledge, and spontaneous speech compared with scripted speaking. Teaching is based on spoken interaction, with pair and small-group discussions in French. Short discussions in English are also used to clarify approaches and strategies for improving fluency.
