French 3 lower: module 1

About this course

The course develops spoken and written French through pair work, group activities, role plays, games, presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. Discussion topics include past and future travel, musical tastes, lifestyles, art, peace through music and superstitions in French-speaking cultures. Language work covers subject and object pronouns, adverbs, the imparfait and passé composé, plus-que-parfait, past infinitive and present conditional. Learners practise expressing opinions, discussing hypotheses and constructing more complex sentences with greater precision.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners at B1 level who have studied French recently for at least three years or have completed French 2 Upper. Participants should be ready to communicate with increasing accuracy and fluency, exchange ideas about work and lifestyles, and take part in spoken pair and group activities.
