What Intermediate (B1) French means
At B1 French, learners can deal with most everyday situations and explain experiences, opinions and plans in connected language.

Explain a plan
Je veux améliorer mon français afin de pouvoir travailler à l’étranger l’année prochaine.

About this course
The course develops more accurate and fluent French through spoken interaction, pair and group activities, role plays, games and conversations supported by authentic materials. Learners revisit key grammar, including past and future tenses, the conditional and the subjunctive, while practising idiomatic expressions used in everyday communication. Activities address speaking, listening, reading and writing, with opportunities to discuss experiences, plans, opinions and possibilities. Presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources are used alongside the coursebook.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for learners with a solid foundation in French, including those who have completed French Level 2 or 3. The Intermediate (B1) label indicates a developing ability to communicate beyond basic situations. Learners should be comfortable with the present tense and have some experience using past and future tenses.

- Teaching includes pair work, group work, role plays and spoken interaction.

- The course is based on Entre Nous 3, Units 4 and 5. Learners are advised to wait until after the first class before purchasing the book.
