About this course
The course uses personal and social themes such as healthy eating, intergenerational relationships and humour to develop more detailed French communication. Learners discuss social issues, respond to news and explain experiences, while studying relative pronouns, reported speech, comparatives, the anterior future and the passive voice. Teaching centres on spoken interaction, with pair and group work, role play, games, presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. Selected extracts from contemporary French-language literature provide material for exploring cultural and social themes.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for upper-intermediate learners working towards B2. It is aimed at people who have studied French recently for at least four years or completed French 3 Lower. Participation involves regular spoken interaction, including pair work, group work and role plays.
- Previous French study is expected, either recently for at least four years or through French 3 Lower
- Learners should be able to follow moderately complex authentic spoken French and routine telephone conversations
- Learners should be able to read press or other authentic articles and write summaries of their main points
Before you go
- The course uses Entre Nous 4, Units 1-3. Learners are advised to wait until after the first class before buying the book.
- Teaching and learning resources are available through Google Classroom.
