At A1 French, learners are beginning to use familiar words and simple sentences in predictable everyday situations.

About this course
The course develops French for everyday situations through present-tense verbs, including common irregular forms. Learners work with vocabulary for hobbies, accommodation, local surroundings, weather and basic health concerns, using the language in both spoken and written forms. It also introduces cultural practices and etiquette in French-speaking countries, with opportunities to compare them with learners’ own cultural contexts. The course focuses on extending simple communication into more detailed sentences and responses.
