About this course

The course introduces French for everyday communication, covering personal information, social exchanges, numbers, dates, family and personal interests. Learners develop listening, speaking, reading and writing while studying foundational grammar including the present tense of être and avoir, articles, pronouns and negation. Lessons are primarily conducted in French and use interactive activities such as group work and role-plays. The course also introduces formal and informal language, along with naming customs and social conventions in French-speaking contexts.
