About this course

This course develops French for professional and training contexts. Learners practise describing job roles, discussing skills, preparing applications and talking about educational pathways and future career plans. Lessons also cover time markers, passé composé, imparfait, conditional and future tenses, alongside socio-cultural aspects of entering the workforce in France. Teaching is primarily conducted in French, with spoken communication supported by group work and role-plays. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are integrated into activities related to everyday and professional situations.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for pre-intermediate learners who have already studied French for some time. The provider recommends previous Level 11 study or at least 132 class hours. Lessons are mainly in French and involve spoken participation, group work and role-plays.

• A required coursebook is Mon Alter Ego 2 – Livre de l’élève A2 by Celine Himber, Catherine Hugot and Monique Waendendries, published by Hachette.
• The course uses Unit 4 of the coursebook, although not all activities may be covered.
