About this course

Lessons are taught primarily in French, with a focus on spoken communication and interactive participation. Learners practise listening, speaking, reading and writing while discussing leisure, cultural events and artistic works. Activities include group work, role-plays, reviews of films and books, event planning, and presentations that address unexpected situations. The course also develops grammatical range through adverbs, exclamative phrases and relative pronouns, helping learners add detail and emphasis when expressing opinions and describing experiences.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners who have already studied French for some time and are developing beyond the foundations of the language. The provider recommends completing French Level 12 or at least 144 class hours beforehand. Learners should be prepared to participate in group activities, role-plays and spoken work conducted mainly in French.
