French Level 15 | Evenings

About this course

Lessons are primarily conducted in French and use spoken communication, group work and role-plays to practise listening, speaking, reading and writing. Participants work with topics including news, sports events, media and books, while exploring aspects of French society and related figurative expressions. The course also develops grammatical control through reported speech, the pluperfect, inverted written questions, demonstrative pronouns, adverbs ending in -ment and the superlative. Progress is based on class participation and self-study rather than formal tests.

• Identify reliable information sources and discuss sports news, results and competitions.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for learners who have been studying French for some time and are developing beyond elementary study. The provider recommends previous completion of French Level 14 or at least 168 class hours. Lessons involve spoken communication, group work and role-plays, with much of the teaching delivered in French.
