About this course

The course develops French for everyday communication, with lessons primarily conducted in French. Learners practise listening, speaking, reading and writing through group work, role-plays and other interactive activities. Content includes describing places, discussing accommodation, giving directions and using transport-related expressions. Grammar work covers adjectives, articles, prepositions of place and selected verbs, alongside cultural material on Marseille, Lyon and the Fête des lumières.

• Discuss accommodation options, including searching for and proposing places to stay.
• Describe locations and ask for or give directions in French.
• Use adjectives, definite and indefinite articles, and demonstrative adjectives in context.
• Apply prepositions of place and the prepositions à and en with modes of transport.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for Elementary French learners who have already studied some French. The provider recommends having completed Level 2 or a course of at least 24 class hours. The A2 label indicates an early-stage course beyond absolute beginner content, while placement testing is suggested if the level is uncertain.
