About this course

Lessons are primarily conducted in French and centre on spoken communication, with interactive activities including group work and role-plays. Participants practise using French in everyday situations while developing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Course content covers travel and tourist destinations, weather and climate, clothing, feelings and expressions of necessity. Grammar includes prepositions, infinitive constructions, the pronouns “y” and “on”, the imperative and the passé composé with temporal indicators. Cultural topics include French weather regions, heritage and outdoor activities.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners already studying French at Elementary level. Previous study of French Level 5 or a course comprising at least 60 class hours is recommended. Lessons are primarily in French and involve group work and role-plays, with progression supported by class participation and self-study.
