About this course

This standalone evening explores Champagne’s history, geography and culture, considering how these have shaped the region’s sparkling wines. It follows part of the Wine Scholar Guild’s French Wine Scholar curriculum while also serving as an introduction to its wider wine studies. The session includes a tasting of Champagnes spanning Blanc de Blancs, Pinot Noir-driven blends and lesser-known examples, giving participants the opportunity to encounter different expressions from the region.
