French Wine Scholar: Languedoc, Roussillon and Corsica Evening

About this course

This one-evening masterclass examines how the history, geography and cultural influences of Languedoc, Roussillon and Corsica shape their winemaking traditions and regional styles. The session includes a tasting of wines from across the three areas, including Languedoc reds and Picpoul de Pinet, Roussillon blends and sweet wines, and Corsican wines made from local grape varieties. It forms one session from the French Wine Scholar curriculum and introduces the subject areas covered by the wider course.

What you'll learn

• Describe key historical, geographical and cultural influences on winemaking in Languedoc, Roussillon and Corsica
• Identify distinctive regional styles, including Picpoul de Pinet, Roussillon sweet wines and Corsican expressions made from local grape varieties
