French Wine Scholar: Rhône and Provence Evening

About this course

This masterclass examines how the history, geography and cultural influences of Rhône and Provence shape their wines. It covers structured reds from Northern Rhône appellations, blends from Southern Rhône villages including Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas, and rosés and whites from Provence. Teaching combines regional discussion with a curated tasting, using each wine to examine terroir and winemaking style. The session forms part of the Wine Scholar Guild’s French Wine Scholar curriculum and also provides an introduction to the wider course.
