Functional Skills English: Aim for Level 2

About this course

The course uses a range of texts, including books and short stories, to develop reading comprehension, vocabulary and written communication. Teaching combines tutor instruction with individual reading, written tasks and group discussions where learners share and explain their views. Participants also prepare a short talk about a story and plan, draft and complete a written review.

The course is intended for learners who are fluent in spoken English and working at Level 1, Level 2 or above. Participation includes individual reading, written work, group discussion and homework, with an assessment required before enrolment.

Before you go
