About this course
The course develops functional English for everyday, workplace and community situations. Learners work with texts such as articles, reports, letters, adverts and instructions, then write emails, forms, complaints, applications and reports using suitable structure, tone, vocabulary, punctuation and paragraphing. Class activities also include formal and informal discussions, presentations and responses to other people’s ideas. Learners practise distinguishing fact from opinion, interpreting meaning from context, using digital tools to produce and submit written work, and preparing for the course examinations and qualification.
