About this course

The course develops English for everyday and workplace contexts. Learners practise identifying main points and details in different texts, reading for varied purposes, and planning and organising writing for different audiences. Writing activities include basic grammar and checking spelling and accuracy. Speaking work focuses on taking part in formal and informal discussions. Teaching combines instruction with activities, supported by online learning materials for study outside taught sessions. Assessment includes separate reading and writing exams, together with a speaking and listening assessment.
