About this course
The course develops English for everyday life and work through practical reading, writing and communication tasks. Learners work on identifying main points and information in different texts, reading for specific purposes, and organising writing for different audiences. Writing practice includes basic grammar and checking spelling and accuracy. Speaking and listening activities cover participation in both formal and informal discussions. Teaching combines classroom instruction with activities, supported by online learning materials for study outside class. Assessment consists of reading and writing exams plus a speaking and listening assessment, leading to a nationally recognised Level 1 qualification.
