Functional Skills English (level 2)

About this course

The course develops English for practical and formal communication. Learners analyse and compare articles, reports, instructions and online information, then produce writing such as emails, letters and formal reports for different audiences and purposes. Teaching also covers paragraphing, complex sentences, grammar, punctuation, spelling, vocabulary and proofreading. Speaking and listening work includes presentations, discussions, responding to others and using evidence to support a viewpoint. Learners also practise creating, editing and submitting documents with digital tools. The course concludes with the Pearson Edexcel Functional Skills English Level 2 exam.
