Functional Skills English – Level 2

About this course

The course develops practical English for everyday and workplace situations. Learners work with different types of text, identifying main points, locating information and reading for specific purposes. Writing work covers planning, organising and reviewing texts for different audiences, with attention to grammar and spelling. Classroom instruction is combined with activities focused on formal and informal discussion. Assessment consists of separate reading and writing exams, alongside a speaking and listening assessment involving presentations and discussions.
