Fused and Stained Glass - Beginners and Improvers

About this course

Learners explore traditional stained glass methods, including cutting glass, preparing lead, soldering, glazing and finishing. The course also introduces glass painting and warm glass processes such as fusing and slumping, with demonstrations of the techniques covered. Projects may include panels, fused items, copper foil work and glass painting samples. Beginners develop a small leaded panel from initial design to completion, while more experienced learners select projects that extend their existing skills. Design work includes planning projects and producing working drawings.
