Gentle French Level 1 | Afternoons

About this course

The course introduces French through personal identity, greetings, contact details, family, interests and everyday social situations. Learners develop pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary alongside speaking and listening practice, including the verbs être and avoir, numbers, dates, articles, negation and formal and informal forms of address. Lessons combine coursebook work with communicative activities such as role-plays, speaking games, cultural discussions and a short presentation. The teacher speaks French throughout, using visual support and careful language to aid comprehension. The course follows Unit 1 of Mon Alter Ego 1 – Livre de l’élève A1.
