About this course
The course introduces Spanish through personal identity, everyday communication, leisure activities and basic motivations. Participants practise introductions, personal information, jobs, languages, routines and free-time activities while developing pronunciation, vocabulary and core grammar, including ser, llamarse, tener and regular -AR, -ER and -IR verbs.
What you'll learn
- Introduce themselves and others in Spanish
- Exchange personal information such as names, nationalities, jobs and languages
- Use greetings and classroom language in everyday situations
- Talk about leisure activities and weekly routines
- Explain basic intentions, reasons and motivations using key Spanish structures
Is this course right for you?
Designed for adults aged 18 and over with no previous Spanish experience. The course suits learners who want more time to consolidate beginner-level language through pair work, group activities, role-play and regular speaking practice rather than a faster-paced format.
- Suitable for complete beginners
- Spanish is used by the teacher throughout the lessons, with gesture, visual support and careful language use to aid understanding
- Includes frequent pair and group communication activities
- Less suitable for learners seeking a faster route through Level 1
Before you go
- Aula Internacional Plus A1, Units 0, 1 and 2, is required from the second lesson and can be purchased from the provider.
