About this course
The course develops German for everyday communication through topics including personal information, work and home life, education systems, language learning and future plans. Learners practise describing experiences, comparing systems and discussing intentions while extending their grammar, including prepositions, reflexive verbs, conjunctions and the perfect tense. Teaching centres on spoken interaction, with pair work, group work, role plays and language games supported by presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources.

Is this course right for you?
This A2+ course is intended for learners who have studied German for about two years recently or completed the first term of the course. It involves regular spoken interaction, pair and group activities, role plays and games. Knowledge of basic grammar terminology is essential, with some intermediate terminology helpful.
- Requires recent prior study of German or completion of German 2 upper, module 1
- Some familiarity with terms such as dative, accusative, subordinate clause and main clause is helpful
- Homework is highly recommended to consolidate class learning
