About this course
The course uses a communicative approach centred on discussion of everyday topics and more abstract issues relating to German-speaking countries. Learners work with authentic materials, pictures and audio-visual resources, taking part in pair and group activities, role plays and conversations. Speaking and listening receive particular emphasis, while grammar is consolidated through conversation rather than taught separately. The course also provides opportunities to practise reading and writing, with some topics potentially suggested by participants.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for advanced German learners with substantial prior study or equivalent knowledge. Knowledge of complex grammar terminology is essential.
