What Beginner (A1) German means
At A1 German, learners are beginning to use familiar words and simple sentences in predictable everyday situations.

About this course
This introductory workshop combines basic German language with elements of German culture. Participants practise greeting people, introducing themselves, asking for someone’s name, ordering five drinks in a café and saying their phone number. Teaching is interactive, with pair and group activities, repetition of German words and sentences, and a discovery activity. The session is designed to encourage active participation while introducing useful everyday language.
