About this course
The course develops spoken German through discussions on everyday life in Germany and more abstract subjects. Grammar is consolidated within conversation rather than taught as a separate focus. Sessions use pair and group work, role plays, games, presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources to encourage spoken interaction across a range of topics.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for intermediate German learners who have recently studied the language for at least two years, or have equivalent knowledge. Participants should understand basic grammar terminology, with some intermediate terminology also helpful. The course involves regular pair and group interaction.
- Recent German study or equivalent experience is expected
- Knowledge of terms such as verb, noun and conjugation is essential
- Understanding of dative, accusative, subordinate clause and main clause terminology would be helpful
